GMW Bali

The GMW is excited to be coming to Asia on the 21st of May 2023. Join like-hearted Muslims worldwide as we spend a week in true workation style.

Seminars and workshops will take place, with daily lunch, snacks and drinks included throughout the day. Attendees will be staying at the Bali Paragon Resort, located in the south of the island.

The experience is highly recommended for budding entrepreneurs, creatives, remote workers and anyone interested in expanding their network. There are limited spaces with a strict capacity of 75 attendees for GMW Asia, with a maximum of four attendees from one organisation.

    Meet The Locals; An Afternoon with the kids at Dompet Sosial Madani.

    DSM are one of the few organisations on the island of Bali supporting Muslim communities with Education, Rural Support, Water, Medical Help and building Masajids. 

    This afternoon, we'll walk over to a nearby school to meet some of the local Balinese orphaned kids growing up on the island. They have a few traditional Balinese games ready for us to get involved in, followed by a traditional meal (prepare to sit on the floor and eat off a Banana leaf!). The GMW team will share some gift bags to the kids to round of the afternoon.

    Workshop : Creating a brand of impact

    Mariam Rehman is an Australian-born Pakistani entrepreneur & brand strategist, and has led culture-focused brand campaigns for companies such as Crescent Wealth, Southern Cross University, Ronald McDonald Charity House, and more. Her methodology called 'Considered Design' helps leaders achieve their business vision whilst also making positive community impact. Mariam has been featured in the Australian Financial Review, SBS, ABC, and Foundations of Young Australians for her active involvement in business and community engagement.

Scholarships

We’re pleased to announce six scholarship places at the GMW Bali for high-potential Islamic value-led ideas and organisations.

Each of the six scholarship winners will receive a complimentary place at the GMW Bali event including access to the full agenda including 7 nights of accommodation on a sharing basis with one other scholarship winner (same gender sharing)

Please note, the scholarship does not include flights to and from Bali and winners will need to be able to fly into Bali on the 21st May and depart on the 28th May.

Four of the scholarship places will be awarded to Indonesian based organisations subject to sufficient applications and meeting our criteria.

Criteria

Scholarship places are available to early-stage organisations and for founders aged between 18-30. Your organisation must adhere to the GMW Labs criteria detailed at this link. Evidence may be required and any organisation failing to meet the required criteria may not be able to proceed with the scholarship placement.
