The GMW Constitution

The GMW Network is built upon Islamic values and principles; promoting transparency, fairness and equality guided by the messenger Muhammad, may peace be upon him, and by the will of Allah, the sustainer and provider.

What does the GMW Network aim to serve?

  • To centralise the vast pool of talent of Islamic value-led organisations through digital and in-person experiences.

  • To create an eco-system of like-hearted individuals and networks, celebrating collaboration for the greater good

  • To provide the tools and resources to build foundational strength and create a sustainable model for future generations of organisations.

The GMW Constitution

Being part of the GMW Network means embracing the guiding principles that shape the community and its future. The GMW Constitution is an ethical code of conduct for members that is designed to foster positive outcomes built on Ihsan.

As a member of the GMW Network, you hereby pledge to honor these three core components. If it is determined by the GMW moderating panel that you have violated these values without reconciliation agreed between all involved parties, then you will voluntarily leave the network.

  1. With all your interactions;

    1. You have the intention to create positive outcomes for all of those involved, reducing inequality and increasing fairness in society

    2. You intend to adopt the conscious avoidance of harm to any parties.

    3. You will treat each other respectfully, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender or religion.

    4. We encourage our users to engage in positive and constructive communication that fosters learning, growth, and collaboration among members

    5. We do not tolerate hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harassment on our platform. This includes comments, messages, or content that is derogatory or offensive towards any individual or group.

    6. No promotion of extremist views: We do not allow any promotion or advocacy of extremist views, ideologies, or political agendas on our platform.

  2. With your trade;

    1. You intend to avoid divulging in activity that enables the earning from or promoting of, Ribaa’ (interest), intoxicant materials or other harmful based activities, that are contrary to Islamic principles.

    2. You will remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to data protection, intellectual property, and online safety

    3. You will keep all matters that are understood to be private with all available protections to keep them safe from public or other unwanted disclosure.

  3. As a contributor;

    1. You will help others achieve the highest standards you set for yourself and your organization.

    2. You will work against any abuse of power that leads to unfair advantage, seduction, corruption or mistreatment.

    3. You are open and honest in all of dealings with those that you serve

    4. If at any juncture, you find yourself in a reputational position that could be detrimental to the credibility of the GMW Network, you will voluntarily pause your involvement until a resolution has been determined.

    5. We encourage our users to engage in positive and constructive communication that fosters learning, growth, and collaboration among members.

    6. The GMW Network is powered by the users, however, we reserve the right to moderate any content posted on the GMW Network and to take appropriate action in response to any violation of our code of conduct. This may include warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans from the platform.
