About the role
GMW are looking for an individual to take ownership of our relationship and programming vertical, an integral part to the success of GMW to date. GMW events come in four key formats;
GMW Socials: Monthly casual meet-ups in cities across the world
GMWx Events: Satellite events in strategic locations to address regional challenges and discussion
GMW Summit: Our flagship event held in November at Education City, Doha
Partner Events: Building relationships with value-aligned events around the world to collaborate and share an aligned growth mindset.
The second key part of the role is to support the CSO in developing a relationship strategy with multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to, attendees, subscribers and speakers.
Qualifications
Proven experience of 2+ years in event planning and program development, with a track record of successful execution.
Strong leadership and ability to manage globally remote teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Budget management and financial acumen.
Startup environment experience is a plus.
The Person
You will be empowered to deliver the annual events programme, source inspiring speakers and build meaningful relationships with the network.
The individual will need to have a startup mindset, work across various disciplines in a small but experienced and vibrant team. There will be international travel involved and is necessary in developing the key relationships across stakeholders. We’re looking for enterprising individuals, who are happy working in an agile environment and can contribute ideas to the growth of GMW.
This role is fully remote and you can be located anywhere in the world (with a great internet connection), however you will need to crossover at least six hours per day with the UAE timezone. You will report directly into the Director of GMW.
Role Overview
The Head of Relationship Programming will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our organization's events and programming initiatives. The position requires a creative and detail-oriented individual who can conceptualize, plan, and execute a wide range of engaging events and programs that align with the GMW goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with the GMW’s mission and vision.
Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events, including GMW Socials, GMWx and the GMW Summit
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within GMW and LaunchGood to ensure seamless event logistics and execution.
Program Development
Lead the ideation and development of innovative programming initiatives that are purpose-led and impact focussed.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of our programs.
Foster partnerships and collaborations to enhance program offerings.
Work with the digital content team to capture and preserve inspiring content beyond the lifetime of the event
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing team of satellite support and volunteers to ensure the successful execution of events and programs.
Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages satellite team members to contribute their ideas and expertise.
Budget Management
Develop and manage budgets for events and programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation through events and programs in line with the GMW culture.
Relationship Development
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including attendees, subscribers, speakers, sponsors and partners.
Represent GMW at industry events and conferences to enhance our visibility and network.

Salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 depending on experience
